I bought this matte black Simmons pro hunter hand gun scope to use as a scout scope on my M44 mosin nagant. As with any scout scope set up up I needed a long eye relief scope and for the rifle I was putting it on I needed a scope that could handle a pounding. This scope has exceeded my expectations in all parameters.I have put close to 250 rounds through and I can still group 2.5 inches at 100 yds. This scope when the eye relief is set correctly is easy to aquire targets ahs a clear field of view and has held it's zero in spite of the serious kick from the gun. I would highly reccomend it to anyone wanting it for a pistol scope or scout scope set up and I plan on purchasing the variable zoom version for another mosin project. Pros: Long eye relief, holds zero, great cost/benefit ratio Cons: Long eye relief needs adjustable rail to get right.

I mounted this scope on my Mosin 91/30 as a scout scope on the rear sight. Scope is bright, 100yd groups have shrunk to about 1.5 inches. A much better alternative to a high end pistol scope for sporterizing an old surplus rifle. Great value! Pros: Excellent Quality, Bright, Stable Zero

Although The person I bought this scope for loves it I was very unhappy with the fact that i paid almost $40 for overnight shipping and it took 4 - 5 days to get the scope. Had I known it wouldn't have been here in time for our hunting season I would have gone somewhere else. I called your customer service line and they were unwilling to help in refunding my money or atleast some of it. Pros: Love It

I am up to 5 of these now, and have them on various Contender barrels. They work great out to at least 200 yards, and haven't had a problem with a single one yet, including one mounted on a .44 Mag, so recoil isn't an issue with them. These are a great compromise between having too much magnification for those close shots and too little for longer ranges, so they're just right.

I own two of these Simmons pistol scopes now. Both are mounted on Kalisnakov type actions as long eye relief optics with the Ultimak forward mount rail. On my .308 Vepr the scope has not needed resighting in three years now. On my AK it does a good job of allowing you to sweep the weapon with both eyes open, and closing the other eye just a second before you pull the trigger. Pros: Rugged assembly, clear image, quick sight aquistion

This is a great scope for long range pistol shooting. I put this on a .44mag contender, once I got it sighted in it has performed great, hold zero well has a very clear view. The only reason I gave it a 3 on features is because it is a fairly basic scope, not a lot of bells and whistles. I plan on using this in an upcoming hog hunt and wanted to be able to make hits at further ranges, I feel it will do the trick now. Pros: The extended eye relief Cons: none so fare

Mounted on a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with a Brss Stacker scout mount and it worked great once Zeroed. eye relief is great and glass is very clear. Ive put 100 rds though it and it is holding zero good so far. this replaced a NCstar Pistolero that the Mosin rattled apart and I have been much happier so far. Pros: solid construction, clear glass Cons: reticle,

Very impressed with qulity of scope.I set it up in a scout rifle configuration. The optics are very clear. Also it is made in S.Korea and not communist China!

This pistol works great and is very clear and for me it has the proper eye relief about 20 inches. I like it much better than the red dot that it is replacing. It was easy to install, adjust and setup.

The scope has a clear view and a long eye relief. The controls work great and have a good clicking sound. Very good for handgun. The reticle is clearly visible. The silver color matches the Dan Wesson stainless 357 magnum very well. The glass is clear.

works like a handgun scope should, I just wish more of these type scopes had 1/2" @ 100yds. adjustment instead of the standard quarter inch. but does what is said and hasn't broken yet.

I bought this scope for a Ruger Mark III Hunter Target. I have not had a chance to get it out to shoot yet. With the rebate offered this was a very reasonable purchase. It has very good clarity and focuses beautifully at the firing eye relief. Since it will handle a .45-70 as a scout scope, I have no worries about handling a .22. A good deal.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this scope and even happier when I took it to the range. I realise this is mostly luck and a good mechanical zero between the Super Redhawks scope mounting system and the optic but I was on paper at 50 yards on a standard pistol target! With the recoil of the .480 Ruger the scope stayed true through 20 rounds of 400 grain Hornady loads.

Mounted on 44 cal. Contender.Have only fired about a dozen rounds(to sight in and check out).Seems to be holding fine so far.Only gave 4 stars because I need more time with it. The longer eye relief is what I was looking for.Seems to be good and clear.

I mounted this on my gunsite scout after much debate. I wasn't quite sure of the outcome but am pleased by what I have been able to do. Meat in the freezer and lots of fun. Pros: Light weight and easy to dial in

Mounted this 4X scope on my Ruger 22/45 pistol.. Glass was clear and had no problem with paralax.. turret adjustments was quick and simple.. 1/4 moa adjustments makes fine tuning for accuracy. I carry this pistol in my Jeep and use it for small game .. I’m very happy with this product.

I rate this as a top product for it's price. I have not used it enough to know how it will hold up to rifle loads from a T/C Contender. I will be interested to find out. I just wish I had bought the blued instead of silver.

I gave this scope 4 stars because I've yet to fire the XP100, 35 REM, with this new scope, however, researching all Reviewers' assessments I could find regarding the scope assured me it could withstand my hand cannon's significant recoil - AND - my needed eye relief has been verified. I have fully 24" of eye relief to prevent occlusion of sight picture. Additionally, the duplex stadia and scope clarity are very good. Regretfully, black scopes in this model are difficult to find at a reasonable cost, but I doubt (hopefully!) my game won't care - provided the "bling" doesn't preclude a shot. Should any circumstances necessitate editing this review, I'll certainly meet that responsibility.
