I’m not a pin point marksman by no means but I do enjoy sending lead at 300 yards at unexpecteding coyotes and this scope is perfect for such. Maybe overkill but my older eyes appreciate the extra power.

If you're expecting a Leupold, buy one. If you would like a good scope at a great price, this is perfect. Specifically, if you wanted a scope for target shooting at a single distance, or perhaps several distances but had plenty of time to focus and settle in, then this is a fantastic choice. I put this on an Anschutz 54 that is specifically for bench rest shooting at 50 and 100 yards. This scope is very adequate for this type of shooting because it has the high magnification required. However, the adjustable objective is rather stiff and very touchy, requiring a descent amount of fiddling about to get just right. Once it's there, it's great. You wouldn't want to have to mess with this scope in a hunting situation for, say, prairie dogs--where shots may present from 50-500 yards. They would be long gone by the time you could get this scope adjusted properly. So, as stated, it has its place in the line up.

Can't say enough good things about this scope. It has really helped my shooting game and helped me to become a whole lot more consistent with my groupings. While searching for a new scope I kept coming back to this one. I watched a lot of reviews, some painted this scope as less than stellar, one even said it creates a bluish halo...I saw none of that with mine. In fact, I liked this scope so much I bought a second one for my new build. You can not beat the quality at this price point, I am very satisfied. And, with the Vortex warranty you can't go wrong.

It is a good product for the price very clear the shipping was a little slow but it all was good the product was exactly what I was expecting I mounted it on a 300 win sort mag and it works very good was easy to sight in and at longer distance it was still a sharp and clear and nice to pinpoint the object you were shoring at

This scope is an exceptional buy and it is a quality piece and of course the easy way that you know where your bullet is going.....on the bullseye! The easy understanding of the bullet drop is something else, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great deal!

Mounting of scope was simple and straight forward. Rife is AR15 .223/5.56mm,Bullet Hornady Vmax 55 grain. Cartridges loaded with H335 23.5grs. Laser zeroed at 50 yards. Was with 10-12" at 100 yards with 1st shots. Adjusted and center bulleye within 3 shots. Tight groups at 100 yards. Nickel sized 3 shot groups very repeatable. Glass at 24x is not as clear as my HS-T Vortex 6-24x50mm scope. Other than that very good scope for the price.

Great high power scope for the money. Crystal clear and great eye relief until you get to about 12x atleast for me and my eyes. If you are going to use Vortex BDC system be sure to zero your gun on 18x as is instructed in the user manual. I paired this with an Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor and was shooting sub 1" at 100 yards right outta the box. Very happy with the scope.

clarity sharpness and brightness of the lens is phenomenal from dawn to dusk even at 24x good that my Nikon Monarch 3 6-24x50mm and my Leupold vx3 6.5-20x50mm. the reticle is beautiful. turret works fine. has a perfect zero with over 200 cartridges 180 grain with caliber 30-06. This scope has never fogged even by -30 degrees celcius. What can we asked for more... and it is guaranteed for life... those who are unsatisfied surely had a defective.

Very clear glass - notice a little bit of glare around edges at full magnification, but not a problem at 18x. Can see holes in target easily at 200-250 yards, but not at 300. Have to use splatter targets at longer distances. Easy to adjust & simple. Good scope for medium range & worth the sale price at $299.00

You almost always get no better than what you pay for and this scope is no exception. The clarity and peripheral distortion increases with magnification making the higher zoom settings less than ideal but still usable. No better than what you would expect for the price. I had hoped for better but it just didn't happen.

I have this scope on a Savage Mod 12 LRP 6.5 Creedmoor. The optics are very clear. The scope holds true at various powers and distances. I do a lot of long range shooting 300 to 500 yards with this rifle/scope combination. Very good scope for the price.

Awesome scope for the price, clear glass, put it on a 308, shot out to 500 yards, was able to see target with ease, going to buy more for my other guns. Now my wife wants one for her 308, looks like vortex has won me and my over,

The 6x24x50 cossfire 2 has exceeded all of my expectations. I mounted it with vortex 30mm tactical rings because a scope only can work if its mounted correctly. Clarity of this scope even at highest power is incredible, even tho i dont exceed 18x most of the time. It was extremely easy to sight in and zeroing turrets has made it very simple to adjust for ranges over 400 any closer targets such as prairie dogs it enables head shots instead of just center body mass shots.

Bought this to top off my 22-250 Savage predator hunter. Just got back from 2 day prairie dog hunt. Very happy with scope and only complaint I have is above 18x it is nearly useless as eye relief is hard to adjust. And if you are shooting dogs at long range you gotta be able to easily get on target. I found myself happily whacking dogs at 12-18x all day though. And the turrets were like clockwork for me. I enjoyed the knowledge that when I clicked up or down for range all I had to do was dope wind (didn't bother to mess with windage turret instead opting for faster wind hold). Bottom line is I'm glad I bought this scope and would do it again.

Clear, holds zero, great magnification. Clicks on turrets seem true. Looks great too. Shooting moa at 200 yards within one box of bullets out of a 6.5 Grendel PSA upper. Shipping was fast and the sun shade is an added bonus.

I purchased the Vortex Crossfire II 6 -24x 50mm to install on a Savage 22 bolt rifle. I know this seems to be overkill, but I am using it to shoot know your limit targets with the smallest being 1/4"+- in diameter. Couldn't afford the scopes typically used in these types of events. The Vortex seems to be a good compromise. I am nowhere near an expert when it comes to optics, but I can say that the scope is clear and feels to be well built. I emailed Vortex with questions about scope rings. They responded quickly with answers and even offered to exchange my rings for new ones since the were not the correct height for my purpose. I hope that The warranty is neve required, but I think that Vortex really will back their products.

this is my 4th Crossfire II scope. my reasons for the Crossfire II are these. very clear optic. durable. holds settings with light or heavy recoil. you can spend a lot more money on scopes, but for the price and warranty on Vortex products it just can't be beat. the only negative that I find is the factory supplied scope covers are not tight and rattle. I don't use them anyway. As a side note my shooting is usually maxed out at 400 yrds. so I can't report on the Crossfire beyond that.

Love this scope. Clear as a Bell!! Great light at the end of the day. When cranked up all the way I can even see Eygpt!! Not really but this is a great piece of equipment. Easy to install and set up. Installed the scope, bore sighted and then shot plenty of targets. Love the optics and would highly recommend this for any hunter. Joe M

Cannot beat the Vortex warranty. Their scopes have the best clarity without going into the crazy Zeiss or Nightforce pricing. The only thing I wish it had was the Adjustable caps like some of their higher end scopes.

The eye relief is excellent, the clarity is good but not amazing. I can compare to my diamondback HP, this last is far better for not to much. The click are good. This scope replace a barska swat, and this vortex are more comfortable to use. I don't know if it support more powerful cartridge, but on my 22LR there is no problem. For the price you have a good quality scope, a high magnification and parallaxe setup whit a indexation who is quite good.

I have this on a 270 and it is my favorite most accurate gun. I have a Leupold that cost 3 times as much and is almost half the magnification and I wished I had put this scope on that gun. I can easily group shots <1 MOA at 200 yards. The scope is also very clear at high magnification and comes with a sun visor.

This scope is outstanding. The clarity is awesome. For long range shooting this scope is tops. Vortex has my dollars in scopes from now on. Cannot go wrong with this company. The warranty itself should say volumes about this company but once you put this on your rifle you will see for yourself.

Great buy for what you get. I have never been disappointed with Vortex. Great clarity and the magnification works well. I like how the adjustments make a noticeable click. Mounted well and zeroed in without too much trouble. I haven't seen much difference between the two Vortex scopes I have purchased.

Good clarity for the price. Can see bullet holes at 200 yards unlike my Athlon Argos BTR 6-32x. However, i hate the focus being in the front of the scope, and i'm not a huge fan of the reticle. For a budget scope going on a budget rifle I can't complain. Have yet to see how it tracks.

I use this scope mounted on an AR10 of .243 caliber. It perfectly holds zero each time I have it on the range. The glass is clear and there are no problems finding the right eye distance. In fact, I'm back to buy another for a 6.5 Creedmore AR10 Upper that fits the same lower. I'm using the Nikon M-Series 30mm mounts which are not really suitable for removing & remounting to another rifle... at least not quickly. No problem tho. The cost of this scope is just right to keep mounted for good. ^..^~~

This is a perfect upgrade for my Remmington 700 7MM. Much, much better than my old scope. I will buy Vortex again! Putting this Vortex Crossfire II 6-24x50mm AO Riflescope really took the 7MM up to another level or two. It's nice to add a quality eyepiece for a reasonable amount of coin.

This is the second Cross Fire I purchased. I just instalfed this on my Precision Ruger. Great optic for the 200 hundred yard range. The other optic is on an AR-15. It is extremely easy to sight in the scope and it stays true from one session to the next.

I am well pleased with the Crossfire2 6-24x50 I ordered from optics planet. Finding the scope on sale plus free shipping and a 10% off coupon, the price couldn't be beat! I put it on my Savage M-11 LWH in 6.5 CREEDMOOR. I really like the extra magnification, but much past 21x zoom it gets a little blurry. But I'm finally able to stretch out my rifle, which is quite nice. This is my second crossfire2, first being 3-9x40 on AR-15. These scopes seem to hold zero quite well and more clear than others in similar price range. Only problem I had is when I ordered this scope it said only 17 available. OP must have been mistaken because it took well over three weeks to get to my door. But I guess that's why the shipping is free. But I will gladly pay to ship if I could have gotten scope sooner...

Good scope for the money. I put mine on a Ruger m77 in 17 WSM. I plan on using it for varmint hinting. Only downside is this score has a 50mm adjustable objective. This makes it extremely hard to find rings for this scope rifle combination.

Great scope for the price. Also comes with a sunshade, that i didnt know about. Not as clear as compared to a sightron or those other high dollar brands but its about the third of the price as those others. Shipping took a while but i wasnt in a hurry for it so that was fine.

For value and clarity your really can't beat the Vortex scope line! Perfect for whitetail hunting here in our state!I own Leopold, Nikon, Simmons and Vortex scopes however the Vortex is quickly becoming my "go to" and most talked about optic. The fact that it comes with a great lifetime warranty is just an added bonus!

Great Scope! Easy to sight in. The very best thing about this scope is the eye-relief. I was more than please with this because the last large scope I had on this rifle forced me to put my eye just a little too close for comfort. After I sighted it in, it held it's zero for the remaining 60 rounds. It does look a little large sitting on top of my Ruger American 762x39 with its 16" barrel, but that's ok. It performs better than I expected it to.

Pros good optical clarity, good construction. Seems to hold adjustment. Parallax 25 feet to infinity. Comes with Sunshade. Good reticle. Minus, only 50 moa adjustment. 12.5 inches at 100 yards. 1/4 moa clicks, clicks are a bit vague. Caps on adjustments. Scope mounts not included. I had to do major shimming to get scope and gun in the same place. .035 up .010 right at rear mount.

Wanted to try Vortex scopes but can not yet afford pricier choices. Have not tried and test out yet. Like the option of 50mm objective and 30mm tube to try against a Bushnell Banner 6x24 40mm 1in tube. Near $100 more and see if it is worth it. Would like to have side parallax focus but then would be probably Viper prices. Has same upper limits on clarity at about 16-18x and up.

I purchased this rifle scope to mount on a .257 Weatherby magnum Vanguard series 2. To say the least it is a clear picture, almost Parallex free with the adjustments and generous eye relief for a scope of this magnification. I used Talley Manufacturing high one piece rings as the mounts. This is all mounted on a custom Boyd's Varmint thumbhole custom stock I pillar/glass bedded myself. Using handloads this is my Varmint/deer rifle. I have sighted the rifle in for the "deer" loads at 200 yards using a Nosler 100 gr Ballistic tip / hunting bullet with a muzzle velocity hovering near 3400 fps. My "hog" load is a 75 gr Sierra HP with a muzzle velocity near 3800 fps. All I can say is that the resettable turrets are a great idea. I simply have to make 6 clicks up for the ground hog loads and back to the zero for my deer rounds. The clarity at 24 power is amazing and crisp. The light admission with the 30mm tube is a great plus. The eye piece adjustment was a great plus to clear the crosshairs clarity which I wish my other scope had. All in all if you are looking for a high power scope at a great price this is one to definitely consider and the no questions warranty doesn't hurt. I would reccomend this to any hunter for his rifle!

Once I got this scope dialed in I’ve been nothing but impressed. Letting friends shoot it they always note how great the clarity of the glass is even compared to the competitions alternatives costing twice as much. Vortex’s no nonsense warranty makes this purchase a slam dunk. Make sure you get some nice flip caps because the bikini covers are terrible.

This is my second Vortex Crossfire II. The one recently purchased is mounted on my 224 Valykre and has not been to the range yet. However, my other one is mounted on an AR 10 in 6.5 Creedmoor and the magnification is the same, 6-24. It is crisp and clear even at the highest power. Adjustment is good and not too mushy. The scope has a feel of a well made glass and appears to be much more expensive. The price and magnification is what drew me to this rifle scope. Also noteworthy is the scope holding zero. Granted it's only mounted on a 6.5 but all adjustments appear to be holding well without locking in. The higher end Vortex comes with extras which I don't need, so this one fits the bill for me. Optics Planet, as usual is great to deal with. They also have some of the best prices around and their shipping is always fast. The Vortex guarantee is also great. Can't miss with this purchase.

It's very clear scope and I like the yabble didn't have the adjustment on it from 6 to 24 and the 50 mm lens lets in a lot of light Gathering. You know fit really nice on my AR-15 for Coyote hunting.
